Protest at Standing Rock Dakota Access Pipeline in the US
A phalanx of police and National Guard moves toward an encampment in the direct path of the Dakota Access pipeline (DAPL) near the Standing Rock Reservation. The resulting standoff with the National Guard and police officers from several states led to 117 arrests. Advancing authorities attacked Water Protectors with flash grenades, bean bag launchers, pepper spray and Long Range Acoustic Devices (LRADs).
