Native Nations Rise in Washington D.C.
As part of the Native Nations Rise events, tipis are set up on the Washington Monument Grounds near the White House. The Tipi Camp and March on DC are being held in Washington March 7-10, 2017.
The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and Indigenous grassroots leaders are calling on allies across the United States and around the world to peacefully March on Washington DC. "We ask that you rise in solidarity with the Indigenous peoples of the world whose rights protect Unci Maka (Grandmother Earth) for the future generations of all."
