Oil Pollution at Andrew Oil Field in the North Sea
The Esperanza passes oil floating on the surface of the North Sea in the Andrew oilfield. The BP operated hydrocarbon field holds a single platform that is located 230 kilometres North-East of Aberdeen in block 16/28 of the United Kingdom Continental Shelf. The Esperanza returned to Adrew oilfield days after the crew first discovered the oil pollution.
