On The World Day of Sea Mammals Protection Greenpeace Russia held an action in Moscow for the rescue of orcas from the so called whale prison in Russian Far East. 11 animals belonging to a rare population of carnivorous orcas were illegally caught for sale abroad. Greenpeace Russia demands to ban the catch of rare marine mammals in Russian waters and to release orcas from the whale prison after the necessary rehabilitation.
