Action against New Environmental Licensing Law in Brazil
Greenpeace activists demand that the Brazilian lower house speaker, Rodrigo Maia, hold against pressure coming from the agribusiness lobby and don't forward a new environmental licensing law to vote. During the act, activists spilled mud and held a sign saying "Maia: don't get your hands dirty with mud" in front of the lower house, remembering the environmental tragedies caused by Samarco, in Mariana (Minas Gerais state), and Hydro Alunorte, in Barcarena (Pará state) - which can grow in number with the licensing rules being bent.
