A Greenpeace activist in the sea is next to a buoy marked as "Crime Scene" and a sign reading "Ban Bluefin Tuna Trade" near cages holding bluefin tuna during a protest to demand immediate action to protect the endangered Mediterranean bluefin tuna from commercial extinction. Greenpeace has been touring the Mediterranean highlighting the threats to the sea and carrying out scientific research to support and strengthen the proposal for a network of marine reserves.
