Greenpeace today condemned Thailand's power development plan (PDP) for inclusion of five nuclear power plants, as "a costly and life-endangering risk?"to Thailand's future and demanded the closure of the Nuclear Power Program Development Office (NPPDO).
The environment group, joined by communities from Surat Thani, voiced their demand at the Bangkok launch of "365 reasons to oppose nuclear power," a calendar which is a record of accidents caused by nuclear industries from all over the world every day.
