In January 2021, Greenpeace Brasil resumed the actions of the Wings of Emergency project due to the 2nd wave of Covid-19 that reaches Manaus and other regions of Amazonas. The project, created in 2020, to support indigenous populations in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic, has supported the purchase and transportation of medicines, oxygen cylinders and cleaning materials for the indigenous peoples of Alto Rio Negro, Médio and Baixo Solimões and indigenous people who live in Manaus.
